Enough With the Political Violence. Seriously, What the Fuck Are We Doing?

You know what? I’ve heard some absolutely disgusting things on the internet lately.

Apparently, in response to Democrats winning the 2026 midterms, there are people online suggesting that conservatives should be hurt, attacked, or subjected to even worse things.

Now, I can’t say for certain how accurate every claim I’ve heard is, who’s saying these things, or how widespread these sentiments are. But I can say this: If you genuinely believe this shit, fucking stop.

Seriously. Stop.

I can’t believe I’m actually having to make a post about this, but fuck it. Here we are.

I’m sick of this shit. I’m sick of the hostility toward Republicans and conservatives. I’m sick of the Charlie Kirk jokes. I’m sick of people joking about how Trump should die, how some Republican politician should die, or how conservatives deserve to be hurt.

I’m sick of ALL OF IT.

And before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me make something abundantly clear.

I AM NOT A CONSERVATIVE. I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN.

I’m left-wing. I’m progressive. I disagree with plenty of things conservatives and Republicans say, believe, support, and do. There are plenty of policies and political positions from the right that I find absolutely awful.

But you know what? That doesn’t mean I get to excuse disgusting behavior from people on my own side of the political spectrum.

And that’s exactly what this is about.

I don’t care whether you’re liberal, progressive, leftist, conservative, Republican, Democrat, independent, or whatever else you want to identify as. There is absolutely no excuse for celebrating violence, wishing death upon people, or suggesting that political disagreements should be settled through physical harm.

NONE.

You can criticize Trump. You can criticize Republicans. You can criticize conservative policies. You can make jokes about politicians. You can express your anger, frustration, and disappointment with the political establishment.

Hell, I do plenty of that myself.

But there’s a fucking difference between criticizing someone and wanting them dead.

There’s a difference between holding people accountable for their actions and celebrating the possibility of someone getting hurt.

And there’s a difference between political opposition and outright hatred.

We need to remember that difference.

Because honestly, what the fuck are we doing here?

We just went through another election. Democrats won the 2026 midterms. People have every right to celebrate, criticize the results, discuss what happens next, and debate the direction of this country.

But threatening people? Celebrating violence? Wishing death upon political opponents?

How does that accomplish anything?

And this isn’t just about one political party. I’d say the exact same thing if conservatives were celebrating violence against liberals, Democrats, or progressives.

I don’t care which side of the political aisle you’re on. Political violence is wrong. Period.

And honestly, I think we need to take a step back and ask ourselves what kind of political culture we’re creating.

Because I don’t want to live in a country where people think it’s acceptable to wish death upon someone simply because they disagree with them politically.

I don’t want to live in a country where someone’s political affiliation makes them a target for violence.

And I certainly don’t want to be part of a political movement that excuses this kind of behavior just because the people doing it happen to share my political beliefs.

That’s not what progress is about. That’s not what democracy is about. And that’s certainly not what I stand for.

You want to fight for a better country? Great. So do I.

You want to oppose policies you believe are harmful? Go ahead.

You want to hold politicians accountable? Absolutely.

But for fuck’s sake, STOP WISHING DEATH UPON PEOPLE.

We can disagree without wanting each other dead.

We can criticize without threatening.

We can stand up for what we believe in without abandoning our basic humanity.

And if you can’t understand that, then honestly, I don’t know what else to tell you.

I’m a progressive. I’m proud of my beliefs. But I’m not going to sit here and pretend that everything someone on the left says or does is automatically acceptable.

Because it isn’t.

And I’m not going to excuse this shit just because it’s coming from my side.

Enough is enough.

Political disagreement should never be an excuse to abandon our humanity.

And that’s something I wish more people would remember.
