Meanwhile, in Iran, widespread protests continue in major cities, including Tehran, as workers, pensioners, and farmers express their discontent with the sharp decline in living standards. These protests highlight the growing economic hardship faced by the Iranian population.
Adding to the global wave of labor unrest, university lecturers in Zimbabwe are maintaining a month-long strike action. Their primary demand is the restoration of their salaries to the levels they were at before cuts implemented in 2018. This demonstrates the persistent struggle of Zimbabwean academics to secure fair compensation and address the erosion of their purchasing power.
