A single ticket sold in Massachusetts won the $207 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night. The winning numbers were 9, 35, 54, 63, 64, and the Powerball was 1. The jackpot had been growing since the last winner in January.
In addition to the jackpot winner, other tickets across the country won smaller prizes. Seven tickets matched all five white balls but missed the Powerball, winning $1 million each. These were sold in California, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Washington. Two of these tickets, sold in Maryland and New Jersey, had the Power Play option, doubling their winnings to $2 million.
The Powerball jackpot resets to an estimated $20 million for the next drawing. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
