A JetBlue flight 1603, an Airbus A320 en route to Boston, veered off the runway after landing at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, with the aircraft rolling onto the grass and becoming stuck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and all 138 passengers and crew members were safely evacuated via stairs. No injuries were reported.
Airport operations were temporarily suspended due to the incident, but one runway was reopened early Thursday morning to resume limited flight operations. The cause of the runway excursion is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
JetBlue is cooperating with the authorities in the investigation. The airline also provided buses to transport passengers to Boston or back to the terminal to retrieve their luggage and make alternative travel arrangements. The aircraft remained on the grass adjacent to the runway as of Thursday morning.
