Cape Cod Collision

A three-car accident in Kansas City, Missouri, resulted in one driver sustaining life-threatening injuries and being transported to a hospital. The crash occurred at the intersection of 43rd Street and Blue Ridge Cutoff around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday.

According to police reports, a black Chevrolet Impala, driven by an adult female, was traveling northbound on Blue Ridge Cutoff when it disregarded a red traffic signal at the intersection. The Impala collided with a white Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on 43rd Street. The impact caused the Corolla to then strike a grey Ford Taurus that was stopped at the intersection.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla suffered the most severe injuries. While details of the other drivers’ conditions were not explicitly stated, the driver of the Impala was detained by police. The intersection was temporarily closed while authorities investigated the crash.
